Apply for KOA’s “Get Out There” Grant Today!

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announces another “Get Out There” grant opportunity for 2023. As a well-known organization in the camping and RVing world since its founding in 1962, KOA has more than 500 locations throughout North America. The company’s mission has resonated with adventurers throughout the decades, with KOA’s being a place where guests can truly enjoy the great outdoors and embrace the camping lifestyle. KOA’s “Get Out There” grant program reflects the company’s commitment to “connecting people to the outdoors and each other.” 

What Exactly is the “Get Out There” Grant?

The “Get Out There” grant is a program that helps to make a few lucky winners’ once-in-a-lifetime trips possible. You know, the types of trips that are truly bucket-list adventures or seem nearly impossible to make a reality. Well, KOA wants to make your dream trip come true! Applicants simply have to describe in written word what their dream adventure is and submit it to the KOA judging panel. And it doesn’t have to even involve camping! It can be any adventure you want, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. Winners will be awarded a grant of $1,000 to $5,000 to help fund the trip! 

How to Apply

To apply for a “Get Out There” grant, first fill out the application on the KOA website. Or, you can also apply by sharing your dream adventure and a photo on Instagram using #GetOutThereKOA. The application period runs from February 1 through March 31, 2023. After the application window closes, a judging panel will review each submission, looking for ideas that will build the most unbelievable memories. 

If you’re selected as a winner, you will be notified of your grant award and will have one calendar year to complete your adventure. In addition, a professional video team will accompany you on your adventure to document your experience. That content will be shared on the KOA website and social media accounts, creating opportunities for you and KOA to inspire others to “get out there!”

Keep in mind that certain conditions are required for application, including that applicants must be 18 years or older and be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada. Other conditions may apply depending on your adventure.
