Preparing Your RV to Sell

For SaleWhen selling your RV, you want to make sure you’re getting the most return from your investment. Similar to selling a home, this will require a bit of work to make sure your RV is in the best condition possible. The first thing you’ll want to do is to remove any personal items and clutter. People want to be able to picture themselves in your RV, which is a lot easier to do if the RV is clutter-free. A few personal items may be okay but for the most part you want to make sure your RV is staged as it would be in a showroom. Next up – clean! This one may seem obvious but can often be overlooked. Make your RV look as new as possible. Prospective buyers like to feel like they are the first owner and if your RV is dirty or has a strong odor, it may not be given a second look. Plus, having a clean RV often signals to buyers that it has also been well maintained. Which brings up the next step…maintenance. Make sure to make any necessary repairs before you sell. Your RV will most likely sell faster and for a far better price than if you don’t make the repairs. Buyers prefer homes that are ‘move-in ready’ – same scenario with RVs. Keep all maintenance records and any warranties that might be appealing to buyers. Lastly, make sure that your RV is in a good state to be test driven. Fill it up with fuel, make sure the water tank is full, connect to a power supply, etc. Make it as easy as possible for a prospective buyer to test drive your RV and assess all the great features. Good luck! Ready to sell today? Tell us more about your RV.
