5 Ways to Make the Most of Your Visit to the Fall Tampa Bay RV Show – November 10-13, 2016

This year’s fall Tampa Bay RV Show runs from November 10^th through the 13^th at the Florida State Fairgrounds and is hosted by the Florida RV Trade Association. Whether you’re a seasoned RV enthusiast or brand new to the RV scene, you’ll surely find something for you at the show. A variety of RV dealers, suppliers, and other vendors will be in attendance – such as Camping World and Lazydays RV, as well as travel organizations, financing vendors, and insurance providers – offering the latest and greatest in RV models, amenities, accessories, gadgets, and much more. But attending an RV show for a weekend or even a day isn’t for the faint of heart, and if you want to most effectively use your time there, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Here are some of the ways that you make the most of your visit to the show:

1. Have a plan – Even before you arrive, list out your goals for attending. What do you plan to accomplish? Are you just browsing the RV and accessories vendors? Do you want to buy a rig at the show? Maybe you want to figure out your next location to travel to. With your purpose in mind, look at the list of vendors and suppliers who are attending the show and determine where your favorites will have exhibits and booths set up. Having the lay of the land and some goals in place ahead of time can help you select which vendors you definitely want to visit and make your time at the show more productive and focused.

2. Arrive early – More than anything, arriving early is to ensure that you get a good parking spot, whether you come in a car or your own RV. But, it can also allow you to scope out some of your favorite vendors before most of the crowds arrive.

3. Wear comfortable shoes – RV shows typically span huge amounts of area and the Tampa Bay RV Show is no exception. This show covers plenty of ground, so be prepared to walk for a few hours at least to see all there is to see.

4. Have a budget in mind – Whether you’re looking for your first RV or to upgrade, or want a new rig or a used one, having a budget of what you can comfortably spend is important. You’ll see a lot of different enticing RV options for sale, and it’s easy to get sucked into spending more than you can afford. It might even be helpful to have financing secured before you attend the show, especially if you plan to buy while you’re there, so you have some spending parameters already in place.

5. Test out your favorites – Before buying an RV, you should spend a little bit of time “playing house” in it – sit in the captain’s chairs, lay in the bed, pretend to prepare a meal in the kitchen – and get a feel for how you and your family would function in the space. What’s great about an RV show is that there dozens of models for you to see at all one time, so you’re bound to find one that feels right for you and meets your needs. And don’t forget to take pictures and make notes of the features you like about each model as you explore each one.
