World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

It is that time of the year when Florida hosts its annual rivalry football game against the Georgia Bulldogs in Jacksonville, also known as the ‘World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party’ or the Florida-Georgia game. This event brings together fans from both schools as they fill the parking lots of the TIAA bank field, set up their tailgate camps and come together to see friends both old and new for one of the greatest traditions in collegiate sports.  

As the time draws near, campsites are being setup with RVs of all different sizes as they display their schools’ colors. You’ll find everything from inflatable gators to fans wearing Georgia bulldog shirts waving their red and black flags. Although there is a grand rivalry between schools, both sides come together to celebrate with games and plenty of libations.

With the crowd going wild and the parking lots packed, the overwhelming amount of support for both teams gives the players the adrenaline they need to play an amazing game.

This year’s game ended with a 34-7 Georgia Bulldogs win but fans are already planning their tailgating festivities for next year.
