Celebrate the Holidays While Traveling in an RV

It’s the most wonderful time of year! But just because it’s the holiday season doesn’t mean you have to do everything status quo. In fact, you could travel in your RV and take in the sights and sounds of another location. Here are a few things you can do to celebrate the holidays while on the road in your rig.

Visit Family and Friends

The holidays are a great reason to spend time with family and friends, especially those you don’t get to see very often. Hit the road and make plans to visit with loved ones during the holiday season. Bonus: Traveling in an RV means you’ll have your own space to kick back and relax without needing to stay in someone else’s house or in hotels.

Do Holiday Activities in the RV Park

Another great way to celebrate the holidays is to participate in activities in the campground or park you’re staying in. Many parks offer a variety of events, such as caroling, Christmas parades, arts and crafts, dinners, and much more. Get in the spirit and sign up for some activities to enjoy.

Choose a Snowy Destination

This idea may not be for everyone, but sometimes the holiday season just doesn’t feel the same without a little snow. If you’re confident about being able to drive and live in cold weather, and you have the appropriate methods of keeping your RV (and yourself!) warm, then select a snow-bound destination this year. Hit the slopes or the sledding hill with the kids, go snowshoeing, and cap off the day with hot cocoa around a snowy campfire.

Decorate Your Rig

It can be difficult being away from home for the holidays, but when you’re in an RV, you are home! Make it feel cozy and welcoming by putting up holiday decorations. Opt for a mini tree or menorah, hang lights, and add blankets and pillows to create a warm, comforting atmosphere. Don’t forget to decorate outside, too!
